Offbeat Beaches Of Goa: 3 Beaches Where You Can Find Seclusion And Romance

Agreed that the best beaches of Goa (Anjuna, Baga, Candolim, etc) are always teeming with tourists! Regardless of the season of the year or the time of the day, you will always find these places crowded with both locals and foreigners. Besides, if you have already checked out these places and are looking for some offbeat beaches, then why not walk over to the ones we recommend:

1.   Morjim Beach: Morjim Beach is a relatively serener and less crowded place where you can have that perfect romantic walk during the sunset hours. Its shore is adequately sandy and the skyline is decently scarlet! Taking a sunset walk with your lover is one of the best things to do in Goa (though sports buffs may disagree)! So, Morajim Beach is a place you should seriously think of visiting. And no, you won’t be disappointed.

Special reason why to visit this beach: It is the breeding ground of Olive Ridley Turtle.

2.  Cavelossim Beach: It is one of the most tranquil places in the country and is situated at the southernmost corner of Goa. With lush rice fields on the backdrop and the soothing sea breathing in soft whispers, you will experience poetry out here. Cruise rides are also available and can also be fitted under budget tour packages. Plus, the region is littered with shops, stores and markets where you can pick up souvenirs and trinkets.

Special reason why to visit this beach: The waters around this beach is frequented by dolphins. You can easily catch sight of them (especially if you go cruising).

3.    Majorda Beach: The quantity of sand is very high at this beach. Plus, there are pocket-friendly shacks which are available on rent. If you wish to lie down under the sun, then we strongly recommend the Majorda Beach. It is a pretty long beach and is also perfect for those hand-in-hand sunset walks.

Special reason why to visit this beach: If you are a religious person or if you are interested in Indian mythology, then you can take heart from the fact that it was at Majorda that Lord Rama had once arrived during his desperate search of Sita after the evil Ravana kidnapped her.

A few other offbeat Goa beaches which you can include in your schedule are Palolem Beach, Agonda Beach and Betul Beach. All these beaches offer seclusion, quiet and pocket-friendly sports. So, you can check them out under budget tour packages.
